This is a photography industry standard 3/8"-16 female to 5/8"-27 male screw adapter. Most of Microphone holder, Shock mount, Micro-Boompole come with a standard 5/8"-27 connecter, but a small portion of them come with a 3/8" -16 connecter. If you meet both of a Microphone holder with 5/8" port, another Shock mount with a 3/8"-16 connecter, you can use the screw adapter to solve this problem.
